How to rebuild and register a salvage title auto in Connecticut:

Salvage Cars for Sale within 100 Miles of Bridgeport, CN

1. You will need to take photos of your vehicle as you rebuild it. It’s a good idea to take several photos before, during and after.
2. Keep all receipts for any parts used. If you’re using parts from another vehicle take note of the VIN number of the car the part came off of. This is important to prove there were no stolen parts used and the car will not pass inspection without these documents.
3. When your vehicle is rebuilt and ready to be inspected you will need to make an appointment with the DMV go to: http://www.ct.gov/dmv/cwp/view.asp?a=804&Q=244904&dmvPNavCtr=|#30243 for more information. Note there is a fee for the inspection and the car cannot be driven or towed to the inspection site so you will need to have it brought in on a flat bed trailer.

Upon completion of inspection the vehicle will be given a Rebuilt Title instead of a salvage title.
