Arizona Law on Salvage Titles
Search for salvage, wrecked, rebuildable cars for sale within 200 miles of Phoenix AZ
The law in Arizona regarding salvage title vehicles requires the car or truck to be restored in order to be able to drive it legally on the roads in Arizona. If your car receives a salvage title from the insurance company due to an accident, water damage or some other type of damage which was too costly to repair in the eyes of your insurance adjuster then you have the choice to keep it and rebuild it if you choose to.
If you decide you want to repair your vehicle and make it drivable again you may do it yourself.
After all repairs are done you will then need to get it inspected by the Motor Vehicle Division (MVD). There is a small fee you'll have to pay, you'll also need to bring your drivers license, all receipts for parts and work done on the car and the title of the vehicle. After the inspection is done, assuming it passes you will receive a Restored Title.
According to Arizona state law, if you decide to sell the car after it's been restored you must disclose to the buyer that it had a salvage title.
